Prima Donna- fertig zum MMM

Gestern fertig bekommen und heute gleich getragen. Ein Traum, das kann man nicht anders sagen. Schade nur, dass es heute geregnet hat aber das hat mich nicht abgehalten: einfach eine Strumpfhose, Stulpen und Stiefeletten an und fertig. Sieht auch super aus wie ich finde. Aber bitte seht selbst

Eigentlich gibt es gar nicht viel zu erzählen, dank sewing galaxy hat eigentlich alles super geklappt. Vielen Dank an der Stelle!!!! Ich hatte zwischendurch Probleme mit der Passe, weshalb es auch so lange gedauert hat aber es hat dann noch alles noch geklappt. Weitere tolle Projekte findet ihr beim Me Made Mittwoch, jetzt im neuen super design :-)
  
Finished yesterday and worn today. It’s a dream, I can tell you. I love it!! It was a pity that it was rainy out there. But this is no reason not to wear that skirt; I just put on some tights, cuffs and half-boots which also look great. 

Well, there is not much to tell about the skirt. Thanks to sewing galaxy it was not that difficult and everything worked quite well. Many thanks for that!!! In the meantime I had some problems with the yoke, but after all it worked in the end. You can find other interesting projects at Me Made Mittwoch. Now with a new design :-)

Skirts, Skirts, Skirts

Anstatt weiter an der Prima Donna zu arbeiten, was wirklich eine ist, (einige Dinge sind ziemlich schief gelaufen, weshalb ich immer noch nicht daran weitergearbeitet habe) habe ich zwei andere Röcke genäht. Der erste ist das Modell 106A aus der Burda 05/2012. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich eigentlich recht zufrieden, bis auf die Länge. Ich bin noch nicht so sicher, ob der Rock vielleicht doch zu lang für mich ist. Was denkt ihr denn?

Instead of working at my Prima Donna (which really is one, there went some things wrong, that's why I didn't finished it yet) I worked on two other skirts. The first one is model 106 A from Burda 05/2012, which came out very well, except the length. I am not quite sure with the length and I think, it could be a bit shorter. What do you think? 

Eine Anmerkung noch: bitte stört euch nicht an den Falten, das ist irgendein Polyesterstoff, der lässt sich ja mal dermaßen schlecht Bügeln. Please do not bother the wrinkles, it's some kind of polyester, which is  pretty bad to iron.

Im Detail

Der zweite Rock ist aus weißem Leinen mit einem gestickten Musterrapport. Ich mag den Stoff wirklich sehr gerne, und eigentlich wollte ich eine Valeksa daraus nähen, das hat aber nicht ganz mit dem Musterrapport geklappt. Deswegen habe ich einen Stufenrock aus zwei simplen Rechtecken genäht. Das hat auch eigentlich ziemlich gut geklappt, ursprünglich wollte ich den Bund aus Jersey machen, aber als ich gemerkt habe, dass das Leinen doch ziemlich durchsichtig ist, habe ich das obere Rechteck gedoppelt und oben einen Gummi eingezogen. Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich echt zufrieden :-)


The second skirt is white one, with embroidered flowers made of linen. I loved the fabric so much and I intended to do a Valeska, but this would have destroyed the rapport. Therefore, I made a simple skirt just out of two rectangles. I also intended to make the waistband out of jersey, but as I saw that the linen is pretty sheer I doubled the upper rectangle and pulled in some rubber band. I made this in one evening and I love the result :-)

Prima Donna auf Probe

Ich bin angesteckt von Sewing Galaxy denn auch mir hat der Rock den Verstand geraubt und ich habe mich getraut diesen Rock selbst zu versuchen. Dafür habe ich also zunächst den Schnitt entsprechend der Angaben erstellt, weil ich mir aber unsicher war, habe ich heute mal schnell eine Probeversion zusammengeschustert, jedoch ohne Rüsche. Ich finde, es kann sich soweit schon sehen lassen, trotzdem muss ich natürlich noch einige Änderungen im Schnitt vornehmen. Vor allem bei der vorderen und hinteren Passe und der Naht zum Teller. Außerdem hatte ich die Nahtzugabe bei der hinteren Passe vergessen.*lalala* Naja, was soll‘s ;-) Ist ja eh nur eine Probeversion. Gut das ich eine Probeversion gemacht habe und ich hoffe, dass die richtige Version dadurch jetzt viel besser wird.

I was fixed by Sewing Galaxy with this beautiful skirt. Therefore, I drafted a pattern with the help of the information given by her. But as I was uncertain about the pattern I made a trial version without ruffles. I guess it came out quite nice but I have to do some alterations of the pattern.  Especially the front and back yoke was wrong and I did some mistakes with the stitching to the skirt. I also forgot the seam allowance at the back yoke. *lalala* Well, who cares, it's just a trial version ;-) I am pretty glad that I made this trial version and I hope that the right version will come out muuuuch better, now.

Auftragsarbeit- Jacke

Es ist mal wieder was fertig geworden. Es war schon einige Zeit in Bearbeitung und gestern hab ich es dann endlich geschafft. Es handelt sich um eine Wickeljacke Modell 132 aus der Burda 04/2009, welche sich meine Mutti gewünscht hatte.  Verwendet habe ich einen sehr elastischen schwarzen Jersey. Es gab eigentlich keine Schwierigkeiten beim Nähen, nur das Schrägband aus Jersey zu machen war etwas umständlich aber dank Sprühstärke hat auch das ziemlich gut geklappt. Die gleiche Jacke werde ich auch nochmal in Rot machen, den Jersey hab ich dafür auch schon. Aber zunächst einmal die Version in schwarz:

Es sieht etwas asymmetrisch aus (ist es aber wirklich nicht), da die Puppe zu klein ist und ich hinten versucht habe zu raffen.

 (It does look a bit asymmetric (which it is really not) as the dress form is too small and I tried to gather the jacket in the back.)

I got something finished yesterday evening. I already worked on this project for a while.  It is the jacket from Burda 04/2009 model 132, which my mom wanted. I used a very elastic black Jersey and had no difficulties with this jacket. Except the bias tape made from tis jersey was a bit challenging. I used spray starch to fix this, which worked out quite well. I will make the same jacket again in red and I already have the jersey for the next one. But initially the black version.

Täschchen/Purse

Heute bin ich das erste Mal beim Creadingstag dabei und habe auch gleich ein Täschchen für Schnick-Schnack, den Frau so braucht, vorzuzeigen. Dafür habe ich das super erklärte Tutorial von die Kunterbunten genutzt. Ich habe auch das erste Mal etwas appliziert, was ich gleich noch mit Freihandsticken kombiniert habe. Das etwas andere Nähbuch ist da wirklich eine gute Inspirationsquelle und herausgekommen ist diese Blume.

Keine Sorge, mir ist auch aufgefallen, dass die Äderchen von einem Blatt verkehrt herum sind, aber das interpretiere ich jetzt einfach mal als künstlerische Freiheit. Somit kann ich jetzt allen möglichen Schnick-Schnack in der Handtasche verstauen, da fehlt nur noch die Handtasche  :-D

Today, at my first time at creadienstag, I finished a little purse, which I started yesterday evening. I used the super explained tutorial from die Kunterbunten. It was the first time I did an application combined with free hand embroidery and the result was this lovely flower. It is a pity that stitching at the edges is not visible for you.  And of course I know that in one leave the veins are wrong, I interpret it as artistic freedom. Now, I have a purse for all small things, which should be in a handbag. The only thing which is missing is the handbag itself :-D

Me Made Mittwoch- Skirt

Der letzte Eintrag liegt ja nun schon eine Weile zurück, das tut mir wirklich leid. Dadurch, dass ich im letzten Semester in der Uni bin, bin ich ganz schön gestresst, deswegen sieht mein Schreibtisch regelmäßig so aus...

I am really sorry for the silence up here, but as I am in my final semester at uni I am reeeeally busy. And my desk usually looks like this...

Trotzdem bin ich tatsächlich dazu gekommen den Rock 113 aus der Burda 05/2012 zu nähen. Da er ziemlich leicht zu nähen war, hat es nicht so lange gedauert. Und das ist er, ein schwarzer Rock aus Romanitjersey.


But despite of this, I was actually able to finish the skirt 113 of Burda 05/2012. Well, as it is easy made it didn't took so long. And that's it, a black skirt made from romanit jersey.

Man kann die Falten nicht so gut sehen wie ich dachte, deswegen häng ich mal noch ein anderes -nicht so gutes Bild- an, auf dem man hoffentlich mehr von den Falten erkennen kann.
 
You cannot see the pleats as good as I thought, that's why I attach another picture which isn't that good, but gives hopefully an impression of the pleats.

Auf der linken Seite beult es ganz schön. Leider weiß ich auch gar nicht woran das liegen könnte. Hat da jemand eine Idee? Ich vermute mal, dass es an den eher dicken Romanitjersey liegt, aber ich hab keine Ahnung.

As you can see, on the left side the pleats are a bit bulky, but I don't know how to fix it, has anyone an idea? I guess it is because of the rather thick romanit jersey, but I have no idea.

So, das wäre es erst mal von mir. Ich hoffe, dass der nächste Eintrag nicht so lange auf sich warten lässt. Übrigens, bin ich heute das erste Mal beim Me Made Mittwoch dabei. Ich bin schon ganz aufgeregt :-) Viele, viele andere schöne und kreative Projekte gibt es bei Cat and Kascha zu sehen.

Thai fischen/ fishing in Thai

Da der Geburtstag nun vorbei ist, kann ich euch ruhigen Gewissens ein Teil des Geschenkes zeigen, was ich für meine Cousine gemacht habe. Es ist eine Thai Fischerhose aus 100% Leinen. Mit Leinen arbeiten macht richtig Spaß. Das zickt nicht und sieht super aus. Was will man mehr? Letztes Jahr habe ich auch schon mal eine Thai Fischerhose für mich gemacht aus Ditte, vom schwedischen Möbelhaus, die gefällt mir aber bei weitem nicht so gut, wie die aus Leinen. Also man erkennt deutlich, der Stoff macht den Unterschied!  

As the birthday is over I can show you one of the presents I made. Thai fisher trousers for my cousin, made from 100% linen. I really love to work with linen; it is pretty easy and looks soooo good. I made last year one for me, from Ditte form the Swedish furniture store ;) but these trousers doesn't look THAT good. So the fabric makes a huge difference!
