Chemise with Petticoat

ange hat es gedauert bis ich meine erste victorianische Chemise fertiggestellt habe. Das möchte ich euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten. Es ist ein Loughing Moon Schnitt und aus Batist. Die Unterhosen wede ich auch bald in Angriff nehmen. Langfristig ist auch noch ein Korsett geplant, aber da fehlt dann erst mal das Probeteil…
Außerdem ist ein Petticoat nach Janet Arnold fertig geworden für den Überrock der hoffentlich demnächst zu sehen ist

It took some time to finish this Victorian chemise, mostly because of other projects, which come up in the interim. But it is finished now   It is a Loughing Moon pattern and made from batiste. The knickers will follow, but I need some lacing for this. Also a corset is planned in the long run.   
Furthermore, I finished a Petticoat from a Janet Arnold Pattern. I hope you can see the new Overskirt asap..

Burda Kleid – fertig/ Burda dress- finished

Nachdem ich dieses und letztes Wochenende an dem Kleid gesessen habe, ist es nun endlich fertig. Das es so lange gedauert hat, liegt hauptsächlich daran, dass ich vieles noch einmal auftrennen musste, weil es mir dann doch nicht so zugesagt hatte, z.B. die Nahttaschen, eine echte Katastrophe, erst die Seiten vertauscht, sodass der tiefere Teil nach oben geht und dann auch noch verkehrtherum zugenäht. Nachdem das alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit funktioniert hatte und ich dann auch endlich meinen Rollschneider bekommen hatte, konnte ich das Schrägband aus dem restlichen Stoff, für den Halsausschnitt, herstellen. Ich habe mich entschieden, den Halsausschnitt mit Schrägband zu versäubern, weil mir das in der Regel besser gefällt, es könnte sein, dass es hier vielleicht etwas aufträgt, weil der Stoff zu dick ist, aber ich hoffe nicht allzu sehr.

Ansonsten bin ich eigentlich sehr zufrieden und mir gefällt die Rollkragenkombi, die Burda vorschlägt sehr, deswegen gibt es das Teil auch bei mir mit Rollkragen. Aber bitte seht selbst

I used this and the last weekend to finish this dress. It took so much time, because there were lots of things, which went wrong and I needed some time to fix them.  E.g. the seam pockets: first I sewed them in the wrong direction and then I mixed the left and the right side. But I managed it very well, I guess. After this I made the bias tape for the neckline, therefore I used my new roller cutter, which turned out very well I wanted to use bias tape for the neckline, because I usually like this more. But it could be a problem, because the fabric is probably a little bit too thick. But I think it’s not too obvious. I like the combination with the polo neck, that’s why I use this black shirt
Well, all in all I guess it’s a nice autumn dress. But please, see yourself:

Burda Kleid/ Burda dress

Vor langer, langer Zeit, als ich mit dem Nähen angefangen habe, hatte ich bei Natron im Blog das Kleid   gesehen. Es hat mir gleich auf Anhieb gefallen und mir war klar, so eins willst du auch. Also hatte ich erst mal bei Ebay geschaut, ob es überhaupt noch so eine alte Burda von 2007 gibt und ich bin tatsächlich fündig geworden (vor 1 oder 2 Jahren) und jetzt will ich endlich mal damit anfangen. Stoff hab ich schon, ein lilafarbenen Jersey. Zugeschnitten ist auch schon alles, jetzt brauche ich nur noch Zeit. Aber dieses Wochenende soll es nun soweit sein

Since I started sewing I wanted to have this dress, which I saw in Natrons Blog. It was so wonderful that I decided I need an own one. One or two years ago I looked at Ebay, if there is such an old Burda from 2007. But lucky me, I found one. So this autumn I decided to sew it. It’s cut already  and I want to sew it this weekend   I bought a wonderful purple Jersey, so it works hopefully.

Es gibt auch neues von der Strickfront zu berichten. Zum einen der Pullover in patent gestrickt in lila. Der ist sehr kuschelig und warm und wird ein absoluter Liebling diesen Winter werden und dann noch 2 paar Stulpen einmal in patent und einmal rechts, links

Well, there is something new from the knitting front. First of all a new jumper in purple, which will be the new highlight this winter, because it is very warm and cuddly  and 2 pairs of cuffs.

Also die erste Kette ist aufgezogen, nachdem es einen ganzen Abend gedauert hat. Aber dafür ist es ein richtig schönes Muster von Flinkhand eine Schnurbindung

Ich sollte dringend aufhören irgendwelche Sachen zu kaufen. Aber das musste jetzt noch sein. Ein Brettchenwebrahmen. *juhuhu* Hoffentlich habe ich den schon im Oktober, damit ich fleißig weben kann …

(I should stop buying things. But this one was a must; a weaving frame for tablet weaving *yay* Hopefully it will arrive until October, so that keeps me busy with weaving… )

Was fehlt jetzt noch? Richtig, Garn. Ich werde erst einmal ganz normales Häkelgarn verwenden, das ist a.) billiger und b.) auch erst einmal anfängertauglicher da es nicht so sehr aufribbelt wie Leinengarn. Dazu muss ich aber noch viel mehr Farben kaufen. Ich hab bisher nur weiß und das bisschen beige, was bei dem anderen Band zu sehen ist, ist jetzt alle. Ich möchte jetzt aber gern was buntes machen. Deswegen muss ich wohl doch noch ein ganz klein wenig shoppen. Das sollte jedoch bei weitem nicht so teuer werden

(So what’s missing? Right, the yarn. I would like to use some crocheting yarn, because it is a.) cheaper and b.) better for beginners in terms of handling and easier to use then linen yarn. But I have to buy much more colours, as I just have this beige and white, which you can see in the other band below. I would like to make something colourful. Therefore, I have to shop just a bit more. But this shouldn’t be so expensive. ) 

Spinnrad/Spinning wheel

Nachdem lange nichts mehr passiert ist, was auf meine Abwesenheit aus Deutschland zurückzuführen ist, möchte ich mich heute noch einmal zu Wort melden, da das etwas ist was ich auch in England machen kann.

Nämlich einkaufen!!! Und zwar ein Spinnrad, wie der Titel schon vermuten ließ. ich bin schon ganz aufgeregt und im Februar soll es dann kommen.

(It is Shopping!!!! I orderd a spinning wheel, like the title suggests. I am very excited and it should arrive in February.)

Aber ihr fragt euch jetzt sicher welches denn? Ja, es ist der Klassiker. Das Bewährte von der Familie Henkys.

Super, sag ich euch. Jetzt heißt es nur noch abwarten und Tee trinken. Ich hoffe ich halte es aus. Aber in der neuen Burda haben sich schon wieder interessante neue Modelle angekündigt, mal sehen ob da etwas für mich dabei ist So kann ich mich etwas ablenken.
