Verwickeltes/ Wrapped

Zwischen dem ganzen Unikram bleibt abends auch nochmal Zeit um einiges neues in Angriff zu nehmen. Man kann ja auch nicht nur arbeiten. Dazu zählt, aus der aktuellen Burda, das Wickelshirt 121 B.

Between all the stuff for Uni, I’m able find some time to work on some new projects, which is usually in the evening. Well, you cannot work all the time. Right? One of these things is the wrapped shirt 121 B in the new Burdastyle magazine.

Ich habe mich für einen braunen Jersey entschieden (der war noch im Stofflager, sodass auch hier wieder einiges reduziert wird). Außerdem ist auch schon alles zugeschnitten und ich bin schon fleißig am zusammenfriemeln.   Leider zickt meine NäMa immer häufiger, hoffen wir das Beste.

I choose a brown Jersey, which I already had, so my fabric pile declines, at least a bit.  Yesterday, I cut everything and now I’m busy with combining the parts. And my sewing machine is really provoking me, let’s hope the best for the rest of the project.

Socken/Socks

Gestern habe ich mein erstes Paar Socken aus 6-fädiger Sockenwolle fertiggestellt.

Yesterday I finished my first pair of socks, made from a 6-plyed yarn.

Wolle und Schürze/ Wool and Apron

Letzten Freitag ist mein Spinnrad gekommen und ich war das ganze Wochenende fleißig am Spinnen. Leider wird der Faden noch sehr unregelmäßig, aber das wird bestimmt noch. Übung macht den Meister und bis dahin verkaufe ich das als gewollt. Also falls jemand fragt, dass muss so aussehen

Last Friday my new spinning wheel arrived and I spent the whole weekend with spinning. The yarn is still a bit irregular, but with more training I am sure I will get better results. Practice makes perfect and until then I say it was meant to look like this.



Hier seht ihr 2 volle Spulen einmal verzwirnt und einmal als Single und 2 bereits fertig gehaspelte Stränge.
Here you can see 2 bobbins the left one is plied whereas the other one is a single thread and in front you can see 2 finished skeins.

Und weil ich am Freitag total zugefusselt war hab ich mir am Samstag gleich noch eine Schürze zum Spinnen genäht, dann trag ich nicht alles durch die Wohnung.

And because of the incredible amount of pieces of lint, I decided to sew an apron for spinning, to prevent distributing everything in the flat.  

Nothing new

Leider gibt es nichts Neues zu berichten. Aufgrund der kommenden Prüfungszeit komme ich einfach zu nichts… Ich hoffe aber das bis März schon mal wieder was passiert Schließlich kommt ja mein Spinnrad im Februar, Prüfungszeit hin oder her

Well, I am very sorry guys but there is nothing new. Because of the upcoming exam period I don’t have any spare time. But this will change until March, at least I hope so And my spinning wheel is supposed to be delivered in February so there has to happen something, exams or not

Hocico Kleid

Beim diesjährigen WGT sind wir nicht um den Out of Line Stand herum gekommen. Ich habe mir ein Hocico T-Shirt in XXL gekauft um daraus ein Kleid nähen zu können, leider ging das T-Shirt nur in die Breite und nicht in die Länge, also musste ich noch schwarzen Jersey dazu kaufen. Das Kleid soll einen Stufenrock mit 3 Stufen und Puffärmel bekommen. Ich mag die Vorstellung/den Kontrast eines eher verspielten Kleides und dazu Hocio Leider ist noch nicht sehr viel passiert, bis jetzt sieht das ganze so aus:



During the Wave-Gotik-Treffen I bought a Hocico T-shirt in XXL. I bought this, because I wanted to sew a dress with a skirt of 3 different layers in different length. The problem was that I thought with an increasing dress size also the length of the shirt increases. But that wasn’t right, so I bought some black Jersey to get the right length of the dress. Furthermore, I would like to make some puffed sleeves. I think it’s a nice contrast between the Hocio printing and this more fancy dress.

Chemise with Petticoat

ange hat es gedauert bis ich meine erste victorianische Chemise fertiggestellt habe. Das möchte ich euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten. Es ist ein Loughing Moon Schnitt und aus Batist. Die Unterhosen wede ich auch bald in Angriff nehmen. Langfristig ist auch noch ein Korsett geplant, aber da fehlt dann erst mal das Probeteil…
Außerdem ist ein Petticoat nach Janet Arnold fertig geworden für den Überrock der hoffentlich demnächst zu sehen ist

It took some time to finish this Victorian chemise, mostly because of other projects, which come up in the interim. But it is finished now   It is a Loughing Moon pattern and made from batiste. The knickers will follow, but I need some lacing for this. Also a corset is planned in the long run.   
Furthermore, I finished a Petticoat from a Janet Arnold Pattern. I hope you can see the new Overskirt asap..

Burda Kleid – fertig/ Burda dress- finished

Nachdem ich dieses und letztes Wochenende an dem Kleid gesessen habe, ist es nun endlich fertig. Das es so lange gedauert hat, liegt hauptsächlich daran, dass ich vieles noch einmal auftrennen musste, weil es mir dann doch nicht so zugesagt hatte, z.B. die Nahttaschen, eine echte Katastrophe, erst die Seiten vertauscht, sodass der tiefere Teil nach oben geht und dann auch noch verkehrtherum zugenäht. Nachdem das alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit funktioniert hatte und ich dann auch endlich meinen Rollschneider bekommen hatte, konnte ich das Schrägband aus dem restlichen Stoff, für den Halsausschnitt, herstellen. Ich habe mich entschieden, den Halsausschnitt mit Schrägband zu versäubern, weil mir das in der Regel besser gefällt, es könnte sein, dass es hier vielleicht etwas aufträgt, weil der Stoff zu dick ist, aber ich hoffe nicht allzu sehr.

Ansonsten bin ich eigentlich sehr zufrieden und mir gefällt die Rollkragenkombi, die Burda vorschlägt sehr, deswegen gibt es das Teil auch bei mir mit Rollkragen. Aber bitte seht selbst

I used this and the last weekend to finish this dress. It took so much time, because there were lots of things, which went wrong and I needed some time to fix them.  E.g. the seam pockets: first I sewed them in the wrong direction and then I mixed the left and the right side. But I managed it very well, I guess. After this I made the bias tape for the neckline, therefore I used my new roller cutter, which turned out very well I wanted to use bias tape for the neckline, because I usually like this more. But it could be a problem, because the fabric is probably a little bit too thick. But I think it’s not too obvious. I like the combination with the polo neck, that’s why I use this black shirt
Well, all in all I guess it’s a nice autumn dress. But please, see yourself:
