Me Made Mittwoch- Skirt

Der letzte Eintrag liegt ja nun schon eine Weile zurück, das tut mir wirklich leid. Dadurch, dass ich im letzten Semester in der Uni bin, bin ich ganz schön gestresst, deswegen sieht mein Schreibtisch regelmäßig so aus...

I am really sorry for the silence up here, but as I am in my final semester at uni I am reeeeally busy. And my desk usually looks like this...

Trotzdem bin ich tatsächlich dazu gekommen den Rock 113 aus der Burda 05/2012 zu nähen. Da er ziemlich leicht zu nähen war, hat es nicht so lange gedauert. Und das ist er, ein schwarzer Rock aus Romanitjersey.


But despite of this, I was actually able to finish the skirt 113 of Burda 05/2012. Well, as it is easy made it didn't took so long. And that's it, a black skirt made from romanit jersey.

Man kann die Falten nicht so gut sehen wie ich dachte, deswegen häng ich mal noch ein anderes -nicht so gutes Bild- an, auf dem man hoffentlich mehr von den Falten erkennen kann.
 
You cannot see the pleats as good as I thought, that's why I attach another picture which isn't that good, but gives hopefully an impression of the pleats.

Auf der linken Seite beult es ganz schön. Leider weiß ich auch gar nicht woran das liegen könnte. Hat da jemand eine Idee? Ich vermute mal, dass es an den eher dicken Romanitjersey liegt, aber ich hab keine Ahnung.

As you can see, on the left side the pleats are a bit bulky, but I don't know how to fix it, has anyone an idea? I guess it is because of the rather thick romanit jersey, but I have no idea.

So, das wäre es erst mal von mir. Ich hoffe, dass der nächste Eintrag nicht so lange auf sich warten lässt. Übrigens, bin ich heute das erste Mal beim Me Made Mittwoch dabei. Ich bin schon ganz aufgeregt :-) Viele, viele andere schöne und kreative Projekte gibt es bei Cat and Kascha zu sehen.

Thai fischen/ fishing in Thai

Da der Geburtstag nun vorbei ist, kann ich euch ruhigen Gewissens ein Teil des Geschenkes zeigen, was ich für meine Cousine gemacht habe. Es ist eine Thai Fischerhose aus 100% Leinen. Mit Leinen arbeiten macht richtig Spaß. Das zickt nicht und sieht super aus. Was will man mehr? Letztes Jahr habe ich auch schon mal eine Thai Fischerhose für mich gemacht aus Ditte, vom schwedischen Möbelhaus, die gefällt mir aber bei weitem nicht so gut, wie die aus Leinen. Also man erkennt deutlich, der Stoff macht den Unterschied!  

As the birthday is over I can show you one of the presents I made. Thai fisher trousers for my cousin, made from 100% linen. I really love to work with linen; it is pretty easy and looks soooo good. I made last year one for me, from Ditte form the Swedish furniture store ;) but these trousers doesn't look THAT good. So the fabric makes a huge difference! 

Ein Traum wird wahr/ A dream comes true

Heute ist meine neue Nähmaschine angekommen.  Eine Juki HZL F600. Ich freu mich so, sie ist soo leise und ich hoffe wir haben noch viele viele Jahre zusammen. Damit macht das nähen gleich viel mehr Spaß. Mit all diesen Möglichkeiten, nicht bloß wegen den vielen Zierstichen, auch das automatische Nadeleinfädeln und das abschneiden der Fäden. Suuper!

Today my new new new new sewing machine arrived. It's a Juki HZL F 600. I am so excited. It is wonderful, so quiet; I hope we have many many years together. I am SOOO Happy. Now sewing is much more fun, because of all the possibilities I have. Not just the fancy stitches are so cool, but also the automatic needle threading and the automatic cutting of the threads.

Vor einigen Wochen habe ich bereits angekündigt, dass ich das Wickelshirt nähen möchte und sogar schon in meinen letzten Post zum Wollefärben erwähnt, dass es bereits fertig ist. Jetzt, da ich endlich wieder etwas mehr Zeit habe, möchte ich euch das Ergebnis natürlich nicht vorenthalten. Der vordere Kragen war echt kompliziert, erst mal hat die Nähmaschine andauernd gesponnen, und den Stoff nicht richtig transportiert und dann hab ich den Stoff auch noch ungleichmäßig zugeschnitten :-/ Aber ich hoffe mal, dass das nicht so auffällt, denn der Rest hat eigentlich richtig gut geklappt. Im übrigen bin ich jetzt auch ein richtig großer Fan der Zwillingsnadel, die funktioniert einfach super.

Und nun möchte ich euch eeendlich das Ergebnis zeigen:

Well, a couple of weeks ago I announced that I want to sew a wrapped shirt and already said that it is finished (in my last dying post). Now that I have a bit more spare time, I want to show you the results. The front collar was a bit tricky, not just because of the sewing machine, which doesn't transports the fabric all right, but also because of my uneven fabric cutting :-/ But hopefully it isn't that obvious. That's the only thing I am disappointed with, the other things worked pretty well. Now I am a great fan of the twin needle, it works really good.

Im Farbtopf/ Into the dying pot

Die letzten Einträge waren ja  doch etwas kurz geraten, sodass dieser einmal wieder ein bisschen länger werden wird Am Donnerstag war ich aufgrund einer Zwangspause von der Uni richtig fleißig. Ich habe meine fertig gesponnene Wolle gefärbt und auch das Wickeltop fertiggestellt (dazu aber später mehr).

The last entries were a bit short, that’s why this one is supposed to be a bit longer. Last Thursday I was pretty busy, because I had to do a compulsory break fom uni. I dyed the wool I spun and I also finished the wrapped top (but more on this later).

Das waren also meine ersten Färbeversuche mit Ostereierfarbe und es hat eigentlich ganz gut geklappt, bis auf das grün, da werde ich wahrscheinlich nochmal nachfärben,denn eigentlich sollte es eher petrol werden. Ich bin eigentlich ohne großen Plan an die Sache gegangen und hab einfach lila, grün, rot und gelb kombiniert, einige Resultate gefallen mir besser als andere aber im Großen und Ganzen bin ich doch sehr zufrieden, für den ersten Versuch.

This were my first trials in dying with easteregg colour, and it worked pretty well, despite the green one, this was supposed to be teal, maybe I dye it one more time. Well, I hadn’t a great plan. I just combined purple, green, red and yellow. I like some of the results more than others but I am pleased with the overall result, if you take into consideration that this was my first trial.

Was meint Ihr?
Was ich als nächstes mit Farben machen möchte:
- einen Kammzug färben, das ist bestimmt auch spannend beim Spinnen, wenn man die unterschiedlichen Farbverläufe auf der Spule sehen kann
-Pflanzenfärben möchte ich auch dann bald mal, dafür muss ich aber erst mal besser informieren

So, what do you think?
The next things I would like to do with colours are:

- Dying a roving, it could be very interesting during spinning, if you can see the different colours on the bobbin
- Dying with plants, but first of all I need more information about this

Fortschritt/Progress

Im Spinnen kann ich schon erste Fortschritte vorzeigen Hier sieht man an einer Spule noch die unterschiedlichen Fäden (vorn die ersten Versuche) und hinten die neue Version.

I can show you some spinning progress, already. You can see on this bobbin the two examples. In the front one of my earlier trials and in the back you can see my new version.
